Modelling Tools >> Overview
The whatIf?® suite of software technologies provides a unique and powerful environment for the development of systems models and their use for strategic planning, policy analysis, decision support and education.
Standing out from other modelling software, whatIf? includes the facilities for interactive data analysis, data management, reporting and documentation that are integral to the process of model development. Furthermore, whatIf? is not confined to a single mathematical paradigm or analytical technique whether that be optimization, econometrics, agent or event simulation, or differential equations (system dynamics).
The whatIf? software suite spans the following components:
Documenter
supports the design, documentation, and implementation of simulation frameworks through the use of structured design diagrams and an integrated, language sensitive editor.
SAMM (Scenario and Model Manager)
facilitates the creation and management of scenarios in systems involving linkage among component sub-models.
TOOL
is an interactive language for manipulating structured data objects including multi-dimensioned arrays, sets and geometric objects.
Graph
is a client-based tool for interactive data display using line graphics.
Geomap
is a client-based tool for interactive data display using cartographics.
